Civic Museums of San Gimignano
The Civic Museums occupy the Palazzo Comunale, the town hall on Piazza del Duomo beside the Torre Grossa. The Sala di Dante has late 13th-century frescoes of hunts and tournaments and a Maestà painted by Lippo Memmi in 1317; the Pinacoteca upstairs shows Sienese and Florentine panels, including two tondi by Filippino Lippi.
