Sant'Agostino

Sant'Agostino is a 13th-century brick church at the northern edge of San Gimignano's old town, the second largest in the town after the Collegiata and still in the hands of the Augustinian order. Its apse is painted with Benozzo Gozzoli's 17-scene fresco cycle of the life of Saint Augustine (1463–1467), and the Chapel of San Bartolo has an altar by Benedetto da Maiano.
