Ramesseum

The Ramesseum is the mortuary temple of Ramesses II on Luxor's west bank, built in the 13th century BC. Parts of its hypostyle hall, a row of Osiride pillars and the toppled fragments of a colossal statue of the king remain. Reliefs on the pylons show the Battle of Kadesh, and mud-brick storerooms surround the temple.
