Tombs of the Nobles

The Tombs of the Nobles at Sheikh Abd el-Qurna on Luxor's west bank are rock-cut tombs of officials of the New Kingdom, dug into the hillside below the Theban cliffs. Visitors can enter tombs such as those of Rekhmire, Sennefer, Ramose, Nakht and Menna, whose painted walls show farming, banquets, crafts and funeral rites.
