Chinatown

Chinatown is the historic Chinese quarter south-west of the Singapore River, laid out under the Raffles Town Plan of the 1820s and lined with restored two- and three-storey shophouses. Pagoda Street and Smith Street have market stalls and eateries, and the quarter also holds Thian Hock Keng, the Sri Mariamman Temple and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.
