Lau Pa Sat

Lau Pa Sat, also called Telok Ayer Market, is an octagonal Victorian market hall in Singapore's financial district, rebuilt on this site in 1894 to a design by municipal engineer James MacRitchie with cast iron shipped from Glasgow. A national monument since 1973, it now houses a hawker centre with stalls selling local dishes under its clock tower.
