St. Michael's Cathedral

St. Michael's Cathedral is the seat of the Archdiocese of Veszprém, on Holy Trinity Square in the castle quarter. First mentioned in 1001, it was rebuilt in neo-Romanesque style in 1907–1910 to plans by Sándor Aigner, keeping its Gothic crypt. The visitor ticket covers the crypt, with Bishop Márton Padányi Biró's tomb, and the St George Chapel.
