Veszprém Zoo

Veszprém Zoo, named after the Africa explorer Kálmán Kittenberger, opened on 1 August 1958 as Hungary's third zoo. It spreads over the wooded Fejes valley and Gulya hill a short walk west of the town centre, with an African savanna enclosure, an elephant park, harbour seals and penguins, and a walk-through aviary opened in 2015.
