Mardi Gras World

Mardi Gras World on the riverfront near the Convention Center is the workshop of Blaine Kern Studios, which has built floats for New Orleans Carnival parades since 1947. Guided tours lead through the warehouses where artists sculpt and paint the giant figures and floats for the next season's parades.
