Tyne Bridge

The Tyne Bridge is a steel through-arch bridge carrying road traffic over the River Tyne between Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead. Designed by the engineers Mott, Hay and Anderson and built by Dorman Long of Middlesbrough, it was opened by King George V on 10 October 1928. A restoration of the structure is due to be completed for its centenary in 2028.
