Toledo Cathedral

Toledo Cathedral, the Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary, is a Gothic church begun in 1226 on the site of the city's main mosque; the vaults of its central nave were closed in 1493. Inside are the Baroque Transparente altarpiece by Narciso Tomé, a carved choir and a sacristy hung with paintings by El Greco, including El Expolio.
